Municipal Court
The Coulee Region Joint Municipal Court processes citations given in the City of Onalaska, Villages of Holmen, West Salem, Bangor, and Rockland, and the Towns of Shelby and Campbell. If defendants contest the charges, the Court decides the outcome.In the past two years the Court has implemented two new programs. Night Court was initiated so juveniles would not miss school if they were required to appear in Court and parents would be able to attend. Peer Court is a jury by one's peers who decide the outcome of minor infractions such as seat belt violations.
